Weddings
are always associated with the color white-the color of purity and
peace, but with the changing times, the color choice of the
bridesmaid dresses have also changed. Bridesmaids are no longer
limited to choose a single color for their dresses. They can come up
with Purple Bridesmaid Dresses too if they want.
Traditionally,
white was a patent dress not only for the bride, but also for her
bridesmaids to ensure uniformity. But many are now breaking away from
the tradition to look different from the bride. There is even a new
trend where the young bridesmaids dress up in Pink Bridesmaid Dresses. Pink is invariably associated with girls and it can be a
welcome change in the sea of white.
One
of the newest trends that are breaking into the wedding circuit is
now wearing Black Bridesmaid Dresses. Black is generally
associated with mourning and is a staple color at the funerals. That
is why conservative families do not like it being worn at happy and
joyous occasions like wedding. But since, it’s a new trend now;
girls are trying their hands at this color and also carrying it off
well.
The
key to wearing a black dress is how to make it look happy without
being too garrulous and gaudy. The little black dresses or the LBDs
can be teamed with frills and sequins to look like bridesmaid
dresses. So, if you are short on your piece of dress, you can easily
whip up a fancy bridesmaid dress with your LBD. Just add little
changes here and there and you are good to go.
Wearing
a black bridesmaid dress is prone to a lot of risks. So, you really
have to keep many points in mind before you decide to wear it. For
instance, it would look very out of place in a beach wedding. The
blinding sun and the sands will make you standout and not to mention
it would be too hot to carry it off well. But if the venue is a posh
hotel, the black dress would look wonderful as well as unique.
